A local residential remodeler undergoes a brand refresh after nearly 40 years in business.

Hometown Restyling has been in business for nearly 40 years. The five owners wanted to enhance their marketing in a growing and competitive market. I led several meetings for the design recommendations around brand, website, social, digital, and competitor reviews, resulting in a new, simplified brand identity that distinguishes Hometown in Eastern Iowa.

Hometown Restyling specializes in remodeling kitchens and bathrooms, as well as replacing windows or adding sunrooms to homes. They are dedicated to providing exceptional service and treat their customers' homes as if they were their own. Additionally, they stand behind their work with lifetime warranties and have an in-house service department. The new blueprint "H" brandmark represents the entry and exit points in home remodeling.

Previously, Hometown Restyling's brand identity lacked established colors or a brand guide. The new brand strategically uses reds that major league sports teams in the NBA, NFL, and MLB have vetted. Pantone 186 and Pantone 187 tried and tested reds, instilling confidence in Hometown Restyling's new brand identity across their trucks, signage, apparel, flyers, and website.

The new website is a testament to Hometown Restyling's commitment to customer convenience. It now features modern, easy-to-navigate galleries, showcasing beautiful photography, compelling content, and clear calls to action on Hometown's financing, sweepstakes, testimonials, and more. This improved user experience is a key part of Hometown Restyling's rebranding and marketing strategy.

Art Direction | Video

I directed a video titled "The Life of a Window Installer," overseeing the project from concept to execution. Having grown up in the local area, I worked closely with the videographer to select local scenes, coordinate warehouse shots, and capture stunning sunrises. Additionally, I arranged the voiceover to create a cohesive 60-second commercial spot that the client was very proud of.
